Adding to QSFP+ AOC assemblies’ high-performance capabilities

Gigalight says the 40G QSFP+ A0C is the result of an eight-month development effort, with design of the four-channel VCSEL array and matching PIN array a major focus. High-level circuit, software, and structure design, as well as the production of passive optical devices, were among the core competencies used. Gigalight also used its proprietary FA coupling technology and Xili semiconductor-based optical waveguide product line. The company says the parallel optical transceiver platform can be expanded for greater transmission capacity, including 12x10-Gbps. The cables are electrically compliant with the QSFP+ interface InfiniBand* FDR/DDR/QDR, Ethernet (10 and 40 Gbps), Fibre Channel (8 and 10 Gbps), SAS 3.0 and 2.0 (12 and 6 Gbps) and other protocol applications.“Our Find QSFP+ AOC assemblies are an example of how we blend multiple solutions into one product. They address our customers’ high-density requirements while combining high-data integrity with low-power consumption,” said Tom Marrapode, director of marketing, fibre optic products group, Molex.Amphenol Corporation is the second largest manufacturer of connectors and cables worldwide, comprised of over fifty industry-leading divisions including Times QSFP to SFP+ Communications, Times Microwave Systems, Teradyne Connection Systems, Amphenol Interconnect Products and Amphenol RF. Since 1934, Amphenol Engineers have designed innovative interconnect solutions such as the BNC and UHF connector series
